Afterschool Clubs at More House School
At More House School, we are committed to providing a rich and engaging co-curricular programme for our pupils. Below, you will find key details regarding our afterschool clubs, including timings, booking procedures, and how to access further information.
When Do Afterschool Clubs Run?
Our afterschool activities take place from 16:30 to 17:30, Monday through Thursday. It is essential that all pupils remaining onsite after school are signed up for an activity—this includes independent study for our Sixth Formers. This policy ensures that we can account for all pupils on campus in case of an emergency.
How Can I Find Out Which Clubs Are Available?
All available clubs, both paid and unpaid, are listed on our online sign-up system, accessible via the ‘Book Activities’ button on the Parent Portal. Within the booking system, each club is displayed alongside a description of the activity.
Club timetables and information about paid clubs (including costs, timings, and any required equipment) are published termly and sent to parents ahead of the booking system opening. These timetables include all school-based and off-site activities.
How Do I Book Clubs?
Parents can book clubs via the online booking system by logging into the Parent Portal and clicking the ‘Book Activities’ button.
- Booking opens at the start of each term for parents to select clubs for the term ahead.
- All places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Only clubs with available spaces will be bookable.
- If an activity appears in red, it is already full. If an activity is visible to book, it means it is open for your son’s year group. If it does not appear, it is not available for his year group.
- While the booking system is open, parents and pupils may adjust activity choices for the upcoming term.
- Parents will receive payment instructions for paid clubs once club lists are completed and must be prepared to pay in full for the term upon receiving these details.
