Are you considering More House School for your son?
We recommend that all parents and families considering an application to join More House School attend one of our Open Days, held each academic year in September and March.
During the day, you will hear from key members of staff about our mission and educational approach. We will explain our specialist teaching and learning methods, exceptional boarding provision, pastoral care, and extensive enrichment and co-curricular opportunities. Following this, you will meet some of our wonderful pupils and enjoy a guided tour of the school site, including our classrooms, therapy areas, boarding houses, and wider facilities. You will also have the opportunity to ask our pupils questions and gain insight into what life is like at More House School.
Open Days offer the ideal opportunity to learn more about our transformative education and how we empower pupils to become independent learners, ready to lead aspirational futures.

Sixth Form Open Event and Options Evening
Open Event for families considering joining More House in Year 12, followed by an Options Evening to explore the subjects available in the Sixth Form
Booking is via Eventbrite and will open on Wednesday, 2nd September at 12 noon
Junior Years Open Morning
For families considering Junior Years (Years 4-6) places
Booking is via Eventbrite and will open on Tuesday, 8th September at 12 noon
Years 7-9 and Sixth Form Open Morning
For families considering More House for the Middle and Senior Years (Years 7-9), and Sixth Form (Year 12)

Choosing the right school is an important decision, and our Open Events are designed to give you a genuine insight into life at More House School. Meet our pupils and staff, explore our facilities, discover our specialist approach to teaching and learning, and experience the warm, inclusive community that makes More House so special.
Wednesday 23 September 2026 – Junior Years Open Morning (Years 4-6)
Join us from 8.45am for refreshments and a welcome presentation, before setting off on a guided tour of the school led by our friendly and knowledgeable pupils.
During the morning, you’ll hear from key members of staff about our bespoke and inclusive approach to education and discover how pupils thrive in our excellent Junior Years programme.
You’ll then have the opportunity to explore our classrooms and facilities, see lessons in action, and gain a real sense of everyday life at More House. Our pupils will be guiding you around site, and on hand to answer your questions and share their experiences.
Thursday 24 September 2026 – Middle & Senior Years (Years 7-11) and Sixth Form Open Morning
Join us from 8.45am for refreshments and an introduction to More House School, before embarking on a student-led tour of our campus.
Learn how our unique approach to teaching and learning support empowers pupils throughout the Middle Years, Senior Years and Sixth Form, enabling them to achieve remarkable academic success while developing confidence, independence and essential life skills.
As you explore the school, you’ll visit classrooms and specialist facilities, meet staff and pupils from across the age range, and see first-hand how our transformative learning environment empowers every young person to thrive.
Friday 18 September 2026 – Sixth Form Open Event & Options Evening
Whether you’re considering joining More House Sixth Form from another school or are a current More House pupil exploring your next steps, this event is the ideal opportunity to discover everything our Sixth Form has to offer.
3pm | Sixth Form Open Event for external families
Families considering the More House Sixth Form are warmly invited to join us from 3pm for refreshments, an introduction to our exceptional Sixth Form provision, and a guided tour of the campus.
You’ll learn about our supportive and aspirational Sixth Form environment, designed to help students achieve their ambitions, prepare for their next steps, and develop the independence needed for life beyond school.
4pm | Sixth Form Options Evening
From 4pm, current Year 11 pupils and external families who have previously attended a Sixth Form Open Event are invited to our Options Evening. Those in the 3pm Open event are also invited to stay.
The event begins with a presentation outlining our Sixth Form programme and pathways, followed by the opportunity to explore the campus, visiting subject departments and meeting teachers to learn more about the wide range of opportunities available.
With more than 20 A-Level and BTEC subjects on offer, students can discover the courses that best match their strengths, interests and future aspirations.
How can I book to attend an Open Day?
Booking online only
All bookings for our Open Days must be made online via Eventbrite, we cannot accept bookings over the phone. Our Open Days are very popular, so booking is essential. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate additional or ad-hoc visitors on the day.

The main entry point for admission to More House School is each September in:
- Years 4-7
- Year 12 (Lower Sixth Form)
It may be possible to join the school at other points in the year and in other year groups, though places in other year groups are rare.
