Join our team

We are excited to invite passionate individuals to apply for a variety of roles at our school. If you are dedicated to making a positive impact in an inspiring and transformative educational environment, we would love to hear from you!

Interested candidates are welcome to make an appointment to visit the school for an informal visit to learn more about the role and setting. To get in touch with Human Resources, call: 01252792303 / email: [email protected]

The school reserves the right to interview appropriate candidates in advance of the advertised closing date for applications, and to appoint. Interested candidates are therefore strongly urged to submit their application as soon as possible.

Safeguarding

More House School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and requires its staff to share this commitment.  All candidates will have a Safeguarding selection interview and child protection screening appropriate to the post for which they are applying, including an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Candidates are required to provide the contact details of three professional referees, and all references provided will be verified by phone.  All posts are exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the school is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are “spent” unless they are “protected” under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.

Candidates are required to complete the school’s application form and provide a complete employment history.  Applications via CV alone cannot be accepted.

In order to submit a job application form, you will need:

  • Your Passport number, National Insurance number, Driving Licence number, and the expiry date of your permit/VISA (if applicable).
  • Contact details for 3 referees (2 professional and 1 character reference).
  • A supporting statement (cover letter explaining your interest in the role and why you are a suitable candidate).

For all STAFF vacancies:

We require you to provide full employment history and details of all academic qualifications since the age of 16, including grades, and when and where obtained. Please also provide details of any other qualifications related to the role (e.g. Teacher Reference Number, QTS, CIPD, etc.), including date obtained.

For all VOLUNTEER/SELF-EMPLOYED/TUTOR/COACH/GOVERNOR vacancies:

We require you to provide a full history of any previous roles in which you have worked or volunteered with children. Please also provide details of any qualifications related to the role (e.g. music exams, coaching qualifications, accounting qualifications etc.), including when and where obtained.

We anticipate that, if you have all of the above ready and to hand, job application forms should take approximately 30 minutes to complete.
