Boarding Houses

A space to grow - life in the boarding corridors

Every boy deserves a space where he feels safe, seen, and supported. At More House, boarding is not just a place to sleep — it’s a second home, built on trust, routine, and a strong sense of community.

There are 2 boarding houses at More House School:

Main House

Situated at the top of the school site, Main House is for younger boarders in Years 6-8.

St Anthony’s House

In the centre of the school campus, St Anthony’s House is for senior boarders in Years 9-11 and Sixth Form boarders.

Boarders live in year group corridors, each with its own dedicated space, rhythms, and personality. These smaller, age-specific communities allow boys to settle in comfortably, build friendships, and develop independence at the right pace for them.

Each corridor is overseen by experienced and dedicated Houseparents who know their pupils well — providing guidance, encouragement, and a listening ear. From our youngest pupils just beginning their journey, to Sixth Formers preparing for life after school, the support adapts as they grow.

What you’ll find in every corridor:

  • Comfortable bedrooms – shared or single, depending on year group and availability.
  • Dedicated common rooms – sofas, games, TVs, and space to relax with friends.
  • On-site laundry – with daily turnaround.
  • Corridor kitchens – perfect for snack-making, birthday celebrations, or cooking club.

All boarders benefit from 3 cooked meals every day, served in the school’s Refectory (dining room) in Main House. Our amazing catering team provide a variety of nutritious and exciting choices at breakfast, lunch and dinner time every day. Throughout the year, boarders from every year groups also have the opportunity to join special themed dinners and evening socials including delicious barbeques and home-made pizzas on the terrace. Boarders are also welcome to keep tuck / snacks in the boarding houses to have during evenings and weekends.

At every stage, boarding life helps boys become more independent, confident, and connected — surrounded by peers and staff who genuinely care.
