Our boarding provision has been recognised as exceptional by external inspectors. Our most recent reports reflect the dedication of our staff, the effectiveness of our safeguarding, and the quality of life enjoyed by our boarders.

Ofsted Social Care Inspection - February 2026 - OUTSTANDING

n February 2026 we were visited by Ofsted’s Social Care department to inspect our boarding provision, health & safety, safeguarding, staffing and facilities across the whole school. In terms of the single word judgements, still used by Ofsted’s Social Care teams, the inspection report confirms that More House School continues to justify the highest possible grading, in each element of the inspection: ‘Outstanding’.

The structured, inclusive environment ensures that every student thrives safely and confidently.

Parents highlight staff commitment, describing care as ‘second to none’ and noting the positive impact the boarding provision has on students’ development and their wellbeing.

The actions of the school contribute to significantly improved outcomes and positive experiences for children and young people.

The residential special school provides highly effective services that consistently exceed the standards of good.
