Our School

Support Us

The Development Office at More House School was newly created in 2024 to work with alumni, parents and friends to raise funds for the school in support of building projects, bursaries, exceptional pieces of equipment and student enrichment projects. As a registered charity, donations are extremely valuable to the school, providing lasting benefits and helping to transform the lives of both current and future pupils.

There are several ways in which you can support More House School, including:

Make a donation:

Give Tax Efficiently:

Gift Aid

You can boost your donation by 25p for every £1 you donate as the school can reclaim tax you have already paid in the current tax year from the Government. This is at no additional cost to you and makes your donation worth even more. You can complete a Gift Aid form here or tick the box when making an online donation.

Tax Relief

For higher rate taxpayers, you can claim back the difference between the tax you’ve paid on the donation and what More House School gets back in Gift Aid when you fill in your Self Assessment tax return. For example, you donate £100 to More House School – we claim Gift Aid to make your donation £125. You pay 40% tax so you can personally claim back £25 (£125 x 20%).

Gifts in Wills

Once family and friends have been provided for, and the time is right for you to consider a charity in your Will, please remember More House School.

The only information you need to leave a gift in your Will to More House School is its registered address and charity name/number:

  • More House School, Moons Hill, Frensham, Farnham, Surrey, GU10 3AP.
  • Registered charity name and number: The Gard’ner Memorial Limited, 311872.

Your gift will help secure the future of More House School, empowering future generations of pupils to grow in self-confidence, independence and transform their lives.

We would like to be able to express our thanks if you have chosen to leave a gift in your Will to the School, although it’s not necessary to let us know. For those who feel comfortable letting us know, we would be delighted to extend an invitation to attend our annual Founder’s Day celebrations in July.

Should you require further information, or to talk to us in confidence about leaving a gift in your Will, please contact Lucinda Gillingham, Development Director: 01252 792 303 / [email protected]

Our Fundraising Promise to you

More House School is committed to high standards of fundraising. Our Fundraising Promise outlines our commitment made to donors and the public to ensure our work is legal, open, honest and respectful. The standards for fundraising are set out in the Code of Fundraising Practice and we are registered with both the Fundraising Regulator and Chartered Institute of Fundraising, allowing you to give with confidence. We fundraise in accordance with an Ethical Fundraising Policy and a Gift Acceptance Policy, both are available on request.

Gifts to More House School

The Board of Governors of More House School welcome offers of donations of all sizes to the school, whether in connection with specific campaigns or an unrestricted gift, thus enabling continuing development over the long term.

Donations must be freely given with no expectation of anything in return other than due thanks and recognition. The Governors are pleased to accept lawful donations which are given in good faith, and which are compatible with the school’s aims, values and strategic objectives. As the school values and safeguards its autonomy, integrity and reputation, the Governors do not accept donations when a condition of acceptance would compromise these fundamental principles.

More House School has a Gift Acceptance Policy which is available upon request from the Development Director.
