More House School is… OUTSTANDING!

On 3-5 February, More House School underwent our routine annual inspection of our school’s provision for boarders, conducted by Ofsted’s Social Care department.

Whilst the focus of this inspection is on our boarders, inspectors examined Leadership & Management, Governance, Human Resources, Safeguarding, Health & Safety, Medical, Food, Personal & Social Development, Behaviour and Co-curriculum provision across the school, as well as our practices in the residential boarding houses.

We are thrilled that, for another consecutive year, our school has been awarded the highest possible grade in every judgement area:

  • Overall experiences and progress of children and young people – OUTSTANDING
  • How well children and young people are helped and protected – OUTSTANDING
  • The effectiveness of leaders and managers – OUTSTANDING

This is a testament to the exceptional community of boarding and day pupils we have, and to the extraordinary commitment and expertise of our staff and governors. It also recognises the close and supportive partnership between the school and our parent-body.
