We were proud to contribute to Independent Schools SEND Conference 2025, joining Heads, SENDCos, teachers, therapists and experts from across the sector.
The day opened with former More House School Headmaster and Chair of the ISC Advisory Group for SEND, Barry Huggett OBE, exploring the political, economic and moral demands on those supporting neurodivergent children and young people.

A special highlight was our very own Julie Clarkson (Head of Mathematics), who delivered a seminar to a packed room on teaching Maths to pupils with SEND. Julie shared practical strategies around the four vital components of inclusive classroom practice: Language, Attention, Memory and Processing, showing how humour, enquiry‑based learning and innovative techniques can build confidence, independence and curiosity in learners.

Our exhibitor stand, led by Eleanor Margesson (Assistant Head – Training & Outreach) and Annie Jones (Marketing Officer), had fantastic engagement throughout the day. We connected with teachers, therapists, SENDCos, senior leaders and more, sharing the More House model, its extraordinary impact for pupils and the way it empowers educators to deliver truly inclusive teaching by bringing SEND expertise back into the classroom.

It was inspiring to meet so many professionals curious about how our approach might support neurodivergent learners in their own settings. We look forward to continuing these conversations and invite educators to explore our Training & Outreach programme to learn more about our resources and courses, and discover how we can work together for inclusive SEND education.
