Hockey has been a real success across More House School during the first half of the Lent term, with teams from Year 4 all the way up to Sixth Form taking part in competitive fixtures. Every group has shown clear progress, not just in match results but in the quality of play and confidence on the pitch.
Pupils have been developing a wide range of core hockey skills. Passing has become more accurate and controlled, dribbling is sharper and more purposeful, and shooting has shown real improvement with more power and precision. Defensive play has also stepped up, with stronger tackling and better decision‑making under pressure.
Our goalkeepers deserve a special mention for their commitment to mastering specialist skills, from positioning and footwork to reaction saves and clearances. Their development has had a noticeable impact on team performances.
It’s been fantastic to see such enthusiasm, teamwork, and determination throughout the school. We look forward to building on this momentum next half term.
