Chimp Management Talk

with Psychological Skills Mentor Jess Wall

On Friday 9th May, mentor Jess Wall from www.chimpmanagement.com came to speak to years 7 and 9 as part of their Flexi Friday activities.  This library event has been part-funded by the FOMH, and we are very grateful to them for their continued support.

Chimp Management was founded by Professor Steve Peters, a consultant psychiatrist and best-selling author. He has written four books, including the UK’s best-selling self-help book of all time, ‘The Chimp Paradox’ (2012). ‘My Hidden Chimp’ was published in 2018 and is aimed at introducing the principles of The Chimp Model in a simple and engaging way through Ten Helpful Habits. His latest book, ‘A Path Through the Jungle’, was released in October 2021 and provides a structured programme for psychological wellbeing.

The team at Chimp Management work with corporate organisations, elite sports, the NHS, and public services to help improve wellbeing through their mind management and skills for life workshops and events. Now also working with schools, mentors offer engaging and interactive sessions where children learn to understand how their minds work and gain practical strategies to help manage emotions, thoughts and behaviours effectively. Jess Wall is one of Chimp Management’s Psychological Skills Mentors, and has qualifications in psychology, counselling, cognitive behavioural coaching, training, teaching and wellbeing.
