We were very pleased to welcome alumnus Arthur back to More House School in January to take part in our Sixth Form Careers Round Table event.
The event was created to offer pupils the chance to speak with employers and professionals in a relaxed, supportive and informal environment, helping them explore future pathways and gain insight into the world of work. Through open conversation, students were encouraged to ask questions and learn from real experiences.
Arthur shared his own career journey, explaining how he studied engineering at university and began his career as an engineer before progressing into a Project Manager role for his current employer. He spoke openly about the skills he has developed, the challenges he has faced, and what he has learned about what employers look for in young people.
Here are Arthur’s thoughts “It was amazing opportunity for me to go back to the school and to share with others my experience. We didn’t really have anything like this when I was there.”

The small-group round-table discussions helped create a welcoming space where students felt comfortable engaging, listening and reflecting. Events like this help build confidence, raise aspirations and support students as they consider their next steps.
We are grateful to Arthur for returning to More House and for his continued support of our community!
