What a day. Despite the drizzle, our Hard Play Area transformed into a supercar showcase, thanks to the incredible generosity of the Sporting Bears Motor Club.
From the sporty power of the McLaren 720s, Corvette Stingray C7, and Lotus Emira, to the classic charm of a Citroën CX Athena, ten remarkable cars rolled in and absolutely stole the show.
The boys (and teachers!) were full of curiosity, and the car owners could not have been more welcoming — answering questions, sharing stories, inviting pupils to sit inside the cars, and even letting them rev an engine or two.
And yes… our Headmaster did try the Aston Martin for size. It suits you, Mr Hetherington.
But beyond the excitement, this morning was a powerful reminder of what co‑curricular life at our school is all about: widening horizons, sparking passions, and giving pupils real‑world encounters that show where their interests, hobbies and skills might take them.
This was just one example of the extraordinary opportunities our boys experience throughout the year — opportunities that build confidence, curiosity and ambition.
