Who knew...?
Some people are already aware that there is a strong link between a Fibonacci sequence and art. 'The Golden Ratio', which can be seen in many works of art, famous buildings and even sports car design, is already quite well-known.
However, did you know there is also a strong link between the Fibonacci sequence and Music composition, including nursery rhymes, pop songs, and even the dimensions of a Stradivarius Violin?
To celebrate Fibonacci Day, 1 1 2 3 (23rd November), some Year 8 pupils spent Flexi Friday exploring many of these unusual connections and how Mathematics links to other subjects.
