This year’s annual Sponsored Walk was a fantastic success, bringing our school community together for a fun-filled day, all in support of some incredible causes. Each house chose its own theme and charity, adding an extra touch of creativity and excitement to the event: Grandparents, Food, Movie Characters and Minions!

The weather was warm and sunny... even if the ground was a bit boggy (a couple of shoes were lost to muddy puddles along the way!). Members of the local community we met stopped to admire the costumes and were keen to hear the story behind the journey, wishing us luck with the rest of the trail.

What stood out the most, however, was the sense of community spirit! At check points, road marshals and Sixth Form route directors cheered each group on, keeping them safe and on the right track. Staff represented their houses in a variety of costumes and kept morale high, especially towards the end of the day. Best of all, pupils in every year group did their very best, walking with smiles and proudly representing More House School.

The finish line, beautifully organised by the Friends of More House, was another highlight of the day. There were balloons, music, a coffee van and doughnuts for everyone. The air was full of excitement as each year group arrived back to school to a cheering crowd of their friends and families.

We must say a HUGE thank you to Mr Cooper for organising another fantastic Sponsored Walk. Thanks also to the FoMH and everyone who contributed towards making this day so memorable, and for helping to raise money for such important causes.
